June 22, 2012: The Master Plan forecast has been approved by FAA and IDOT-Aeronautics, and facility requirements have been developed. Future development alternatives are currently being refined and reviewed with Airport staff. Field surveys and aerial imagery collection for the eALP were completed in April and May, and the data is currently being processed. Additional data development for the eALP is also currently underway. The draft pavement management plan has been developed and is being reviewed internally.

The next steps include alternatives analysis, development of an implementation plan, eALP data mapping and attribution, and meeting with the Airport to review the draft pavement management plan.

Master Plan Update

The Quad City International Airport (MLI) has initiated an update of its Master Plan. An airport master plan is a comprehensive study of an airport that documents the short-, medium-, and long-term development plans needed to meet future aviation demand. The overall goal of a master plan is to provide the framework needed to guide future airport development that will cost-effectively satisfy aviation demand, while considering potential environmental and socioeconomic impacts.
